Stephenson County Crime Stop is the oldest Crime Stop organization in the State of Illinois. We have been in existence since 1981.   

Stephenson County Crime Stop encourages members of the community to assist local law enforcement agencies in the fight against crime by overcoming the two key elements that inhibit community involvement: fear and apathy.

Crime Stop provides a telephone number, P3 tip mobile application and website link to encourage citizens in the community to volunteer vital information helpful to law enforcement agencies to fight against crime.  Crime Stop tipsters remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward up to $1000!

Stephenson County Crime Stop is comprised of an all-volunteer board and is a member of both the Illinois State Crime Stoppers Association and Crime Stoppers USA.  Additionally, two of Stephenson County Crime Stop's directing board members have become board members for the Illinois State Crime Stoppers Association.
